OUR Story
Second Story Wardrobe was born out of a love of well-made children's clothing and a desire to make the most of what already exists. Every thrift trip became a treasure hunt for thoughtfully crafted pieces that still had plenty of adventures ahead of them. Over time, those special finds became the foundation for Second Story Wardrobe, a place where high-quality, gently-loved children’s clothing find their way to new families to begin their next chapter.

Meet the Owner
As a parent of two, I know what a challenge it can be keeping up with growing bodies, changing style preferences and Minnesota weather! I’ve loved thrifting since I was a teen. I’d walk to the Salvation Army on Nicollet or take the bus to the Uptown Ragstock to browse the racks and find cool vintage pieces to add to my wardrobe.
Second Story Wardrobe came about when my love of thrifting met the joy I got finding special pieces for my friends’ kids. I found so many quality items that still had plenty of life left to give, that I started buying “thrift rescues” for friends I hadn’t met yet.
And so, Second Story Wardrobe was born. What started as a love of the hunt has grown into a collection built around quality, individuality and giving kids clothing a chance to tell another story.
